Belief
Belief, like a deep-rooted tree
Profound and certain, are we
Convinced of the ideas we sustain
Strength from every drop of rain
Winds blow an ever-changing view
Of this dimension and what is true
The sun beckons us to seek out light
And look further from our sight
Beyond and above the clouded haze
We see a glimpse out of the maze
Transporting oneself in-between
The cosmic space of the unseen
The Holiday Prayer
Angel wings blanket the roof as the snow kisses my cheek
I retreat inward, aloof, peaceful, a silent mystique
stillness surrounds without a sound
love triumphs I have no doubt
I pray to the heavens
above, this holiday season telling
a story of God’s children as we emerge
from the spell, a tale of how pure love came to be
as we gather 'round the tree, hearts will soar in joy and unity
The Leaf
The beginning of winter blusters in
As a lone leaf clings firmly to a branch
Reluctant to face its own destiny and
Converge with the storm, resistance
Only prolongs its natural path and
What it is intended to be
